DO I NEED TO SCHEDULE A CONSULTATION?

I highly recommend scheduling a consultation for larger projects, or if you are new to being tattooed. The consultation can help us get on the same page and create a great sense of comfort on both ends. We can discuss and decide on different avenues to take with design and placement and get you the absolute best tattoo possible. It also helps to accurately measure and map the area of the body your tattoo will be going on so that it flows properly.

DO YOU DO COVERUPS?/WILL YOU REWORK MY EXISTING TATTOO?

I get asked this one a lot and it can be difficult to answer. When it comes to reworking an existing tattoo or adding on to another artist’s work I have nearly always said no. I feel that unless the original drawing is my own, I am unable to always promise a client that their rework will truly look like my work when we are done with it. With coverups what I take on really depends on two factors. First, how light the tattoo is and my ability to cover it as freedom with subject matter can make a huge difference. Second, it depends greatly on how much bigger the client will allow me to go. If it is light enough and I am given freedom, and we also go big enough, then the coverup will be more achievable. It doesn’t hurt to ask if I am willing to cover existing work. Please be sure to include pics of any existing tattoos when submitting requests for this type of work.

DO YOU HAVE NUMBING PRODUCTS?

I have numbing products available for before the tattoo as well as for during the tattoo procedure. Ask me about them at the time of your appointment and I am happy to discuss them with you. Regardless, please prepare for the pain that a normal tattoo would have as the effectiveness of these products can vary from person to person.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

All pricing for designs are completed one of three ways. All rates include the cost of drawing, tattooing, lidocaine products, and aftercare. All rates apply to either full color or black and gray tattoos.

The first rate is a small to medium size rate of $800 which is for palm size to hand size, or smaller tattoos done in one sitting.

Small to Medium Size Examples ($800 done in one sitting):

- softball sized back of calf tattoo

- outer deltoid shoulder tattoo

- hand tattoo including knuckle coverage

- softball sized inner bicep tattoo

- softball sized random placement gap filler tattoo

The second rate is a large size rate of $1500 for larger full outer forearm, full length of outer calf, or top of the thigh sized tattoos done in one sitting.

Large Size Examples ($1500 done in one sitting):

- side of the neck tattoo

- inner or outer thigh tattoo

- inner or outer upper arm tattoo

- inner or outer forearm tattoo

- knee tattoo

- full length of calf tattoo or shin tattoo

The third rate is a multiple session tattoo rate of $1500/session for extra large multiple session projects such as chest pieces, back pieces, sleeves, and anything large enough to require more than one sitting. I listed estimated number of sittings below. The time it takes to complete large projects depends on whether it is a smaller or larger person receiving the tattoo. People come in all shapes and sizes, and I welcome every person of every shape, size, and background to come get a rad tattoo from me! Simply keep in mind that with tattooing it’s about the area being tattooed and how much area you wish to cover. I am typically able to give a total project cost estimate after having a consult with you.

Multiple Session Project Examples ($1500 per sitting):

- arm or leg sleeve - 5 to 7 sittings - $7500 to $10500

- arm or leg half sleeve - 3 to 4 sittings - $4500 to $6000 (generally less time for forearm and calf half sleeves as opposed to upper arm or thigh half sleeves)

- chest piece or throat sleeve - 3 to 4 sittings - $4500 to $6000

- back piece or full torso tattoo - 5 to 7 sittings - $7500 to $10500

I guarantee my work and regardless of what option you select, touch ups are always free should anything need it once it is fully healed. Most tattoos do not require a touch up if properly taken care of, but life happens and a cat scratch or accidental bump to the tattoo during the healing process is nothing we can’t fix. Do the best you can, and I’m always here for healing/aftercare questions.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I TIP? DO I NEED TO TIP?

I have been asked this many times and it can be awkward on both ends. Like other services, 20% is the standard, but there is wiggle room. For larger transactions, it is acceptable to tip 10-15%. Overall tipping is a great way to show your appreciation for excellent service (it happens). Tipping is most certainly not required or expected, but it is definitely valued!

HOW CAN I BEST PREPARE FOR MY TATTOO APPOINTMENT?

To ensure your skin is in the best possible condition for tattooing, please avoid heavy sunlight and especially sunburn for 3 days prior to your tattoo appointment. Please do not come in intoxicated for your tattoo appointment. Make sure to get a full nights rest prior to your appointment and be sure to stay hydrated as well. Wear comfortable clothing you aren’t afraid to get dirty (it happens). Bring any snacks and drinks needed to get you through, but also be aware that we can always stop for breaks and lunch as I charge flat rates for tattoos and try to be workable for the client’s comfort. Be sure to shower prior to your appointment. Also feel free to bring headphones or a movie to watch (with your headphones) as long as you doing so does not affect me getting to the area I will be tattooing. Please do not bring any extra people with you to get tattooed.

IS THE STUDIO/EQUIPMENT SAFE?

All tattooing is completed at the highest standard of safety and cleanliness in accordance with the health department. All equipment is single-use and disposable, and a new ‘set-up’ is used for each client. My tattoo station is disinfected daily and cleaned between each client appointment.
